Cyrus Ghavam is a board-certified Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon at Medicus Spine & Joint. From five offices in Brunswick, Georgia; Mt. Pleasant and Bluffton, South Carolina; and Gainesville and Jacksonville, Florida, Dr. Ghavam takes great pride in providing all his patients with exceptional care.
Education and learning have always been of importance to Dr. Ghavam. He achieved a Master of Science in Biological Services from Stanford University in California. Next, he attended The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and earned his MD with research distinction.
He completed his Surgical Internship and Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, followed by a Spine Surgery Fellowship at Charlotte Spine Center (now OrthoCarolina) in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Dr. Ghavam furthered his learning in 2017 through the MIT Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, obtaining his Master of Business Administration.
He is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME), the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS), the Florida Medical Association (FMA), and the Florida Orthopaedic Society (FOS/BSOF).
