Jordan Kuppinger, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained Interventional Pain Management Specialist and Anesthesiologist at Medicus Spine & Joint. Patients can choose the nearest office from the five offices in Brunswick, Georgia; Mt. Pleasant and Bluffton, South Carolina; and Gainesville and Jacksonville, Florida.

He graduated from California State University Chico, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. He then obtained his Doctorate of Medicine at Spartan Health Sciences University School of Medicine in Vieux Fort, Saint Lucia (Caribbean), in 2001.

Dr. Kuppinger’s post-doctoral training includes Intern PGY-1 Year at Mid-Hudson Family Health Institute, Department of Anesthesiology Resident Anesthesiologist at Tufts University School of Medicine, and Interventional Pain and Non-Interventional Pain Fellowship at Deuk Spine Institute.

From 2002 to 2005, he served as a Clinical Associate at Tufts University School Of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. The Tufts University School of Medicine is the medical school of Tufts University, a private research university located at the university’s health and science campus in Downtown Boston.

His additional research and teaching accomplishments include being published in Valdecoxib Pharmacokinetics in Human Cerebrospinal Fluid Published: Canadian Journal of Anesthesia 

2005, Vol.52, pp. A210 and serving as a Clinical Associate at Florida State University (FSU) College of Medicine in Tallahassee, Florida, from 2008 to 2011.

Dr. Kuppinger has extensive practice history and experience. He worked at Anesthesia of Indian River from 2005 to 2011 and served as Attending Physician at Ascent Anesthesia and Apollo MD Vail Valley Medical center (Steadman Clinic). He also worked as Director of Interventional Pain Medicine at Sports & Orthopedic Center in Lansdale, Pennsylvania.

Before joining the Medicus Spine & Joint office in Savannah, Georgia, in 2022, Dr. Kuppinger practiced as Interventional Pain Management Specialist at Trinity Spine and Orthopedics in Kissimmee, Florida, at Coastal Health Group in Jupiter, and Advanced Medical Treatment Center in DuBois, Pennsylvania.

He is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) and the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians (ABIPP). He is licensed to practice in Nevada, Florida, Colorado, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, South Carolina, and Michigan.
