Robert Hill is a board-certified and fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon at Medicus Spine & Joint. Patients can choose the office nearest them from the five offices in Brunswick, Georgia; Mt. Pleasant and Bluffton, South Carolina; and Gainesville, Tallahassee, and Jacksonville, Florida.
He attended Philadelphia College of Performing Arts, now called The University of the Arts (UArts), in Pennsylvania, where he majored in Performance Jazz Composition. A few years later, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Gannon University in Erie.
Dr. Hill obtained his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) in Pennsylvania. After graduation, he completed a Rotating Internship at the Osteopathic Medical Center of Philadelphia.
He furthered his post-doctoral training with the United States Public Health Service (Indian Health Service) General Medical Officer at Gallup Indian Medical Center, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Next, he fulfilled a Resident Trauma AO Fellowship at Tampa General Hospital (TGH) in Florida.
Dr. Hill achieved his Orthopedic Surgeon residency at Michigan University and Lansing General/Ingham Medical Center, now called McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital, in Lansing, Michigan.
From 1995 to 2012, Dr. Hill worked at Ohio Valley Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio, as a partner of the private practice. From 2012 to 2014, he worked as an Orthopedic Surgeon at Mercy Hospital Fairfield in Fairfield, Ohio, and from 2014 to 2019, as an Orthopedic Surgeon at Partner Vero Orthopaedics and Neurology.
Dr. Hill has served as an Orthopedic Surgeon at The Institute for Bone and Joint Disorders in Vero Beach, Florida, since 2019.In 2021 he became a valued team member at Medicus Spine & Joint, seeing patients at the Jacksonville and Tampa offices.
He is a member of the Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA), Academy of Medicine Cincinnati (AOMC), American Academy of Osteopathic Orthopaedic Surgeons (AOAO), and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).
